The part of Riley has officially been filled and it did NOT go to Freddie Stroma.... sad day. It went to the relatively unknown Xavier Samuel!!! Looks young enough but I'm not sure he has the soldier look.... well I will wait and see him all done up and looking the part.

MJ Coming to the Big Screen!

Reallllly torn over how I feel about this... On the one hand I kind of think it's wrong to take the rehearsal (aka PRACTICE) footage of MJ who we know to be the ultimate of perfectionists and promote it for the world to see... I would be horrified if someone took my uncompleted anything and let anyone see it... (this goes along with my feelings on Midnight Sun and why I am the ONLY twilight fan who refuses to read it. It's an invasion of privacy)

But........ On the other hand. What a tribute..what an honor.. to have people love MJ so much that they will pay to see MJ's unfinished rehearsal footage... And while I know it's not complete and would horrify the perfectionist in him.. I also know that anyone but himself will watch it and see perfection. Perfect musician, perfect dancer, perfect singer, perfect performer, perfect entertainer.

So while I am torn on whether or not I think this is morally right... as a fan I will be first in line to see his concert movie. Especially since it's being directed by his concert's director/producer and the one who shot the footage... the amazing Kenny Ortega!! Hope Sony Pictures makes back the $50 million they bought the rights for... yeah... if Hannah Montana can top that I don't think Michael Jackson will have a problem...

EPIC HANSON ROAD TRIP COUNTDOWN!

4 MONTHS 14 DAYS

I have been counting down for weeks waiting for Hanson to post their tour dates. For every Hanson tour EVER they have always stopped in Seattle Portland and Vancouver because it is KNOWN that their biggest fans are in the NW ....

So it was to my SHOCK and HORROR that I found out this morning Hanson is not touring ANYWHERE in the PNW!! Closest is San Francisco.... Thus begins the planning.

If Hanson isn't coming here I MUST go to them... and if I'm already travelling to San Francisco to see their show on November 5th I might as well head to LA to see them on the 7th and then to San Diego to see them on the 8th... I mean as long as I'm down there...

And of course I MUST bring my Hanson partner in crime, Kelsey along for the ride. We haven't missed a tour yet and I'm not going to let a little thing like them not coming to our city stop us! See here we are all excited at their 2008 tour The Walk:

How I seem to always get the scoop before everyone else is beyond me... I just seem to know exactly where to look at the exact right time. And while I'm at it...

As for Eclipse filming.. Cast is scheduled to arrive in YVR on August 17th. Yes, yet again I have found out where they are staying for the durration, but no, I will not be posting that info all over the web. But you can be sure to catch them filming at the David Thompson Secondary School in YVR and also all over Kitsilano, YVR. Surrey, BC is where the replica of Bella's house was constructed, and West Vancouver, BC is where the Cullen's house is.

He could have been Zac Efron...

Rumor has it Zac Efron was NOT disney's number 1 choice to play Troy in the High School Musicals.

Their number 1 pick was Hunter Parish (who now stars in Emmy nominated Weeds and was also seen playing the bad guy boyfriend in Zac Efron's 17 Again)

Could Mr. Parish have filled Zefron's shoes? We know he has the pipes (maybe even more so than Zac) As he made his Broadway debut as the lead in Spring Awakening last summer (the LEAD! in SPRING AWAKENING!) Impressive.

But does he have the star power? Heartthrob, yes. Star power? TBD. We need to see him in more... He's got options now which is cool. He could continue the small screen thing but not for long... He's got the looks to do the romantic comedy thing... but the critical acclaim to do the indie route (which I would suggest) OR... something I would love love LOVE to see is him go the Broadway route. We could totally use another hottie on Broadway, especially one who's a star elsewhere.

Choose wisely Mr. Parish I don't need another Zac Efron but I would plaster my blog with the likes of you.

Miley Cyrus has Wings!

Miley Cyrus isn't offered roles in movies... they are created for her. First Nicholas Sparks falls in love with her and wants to work with her and creates a part just for her writing the screenplay to The Last Song with Miley in mind for the lead. (first time ever a screenplay has been written before the book) And now Miley must be doing great things on The Last Song ( and according to @adamshankmann she is!) becasue she has just been offered another role! Well not offered a role actually... Disney bought the screen rights to the best selling Aprilynne Pike young adult novel Wings FOR Miley!! They bought her a part.

Here's a synopsis on the book: "When Laurel is thrust into the midst of a centuries-old battle between faeries and trolls, she's torn between a human and a faerie love. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever."

Miley will play 15-year-old Laurel, who grows up thinking she's an average girl but finds out she's really a fairy once she starts growing some wings.

OH and that's not all!

Wings, which just came out in May. Is apparently the first in a 4 part series. (hello tween twilight?) I smell a sequel...

Needless to say I have already bought my copy of Wings...

LA Candy- Bitter Sweet

When I first heard about LA Candy my thoughts went a little like this... WTF who would read a book by some reality star?? Ugh this book will be crap but I'll probably buy it to find out for myself.

Reviews came out for LA Candy and my thoughts went a little like this... WTF reviewers are actually liking this book? And that's not just reviews by teen magazines... I am intrigued... I might pick up this book soon...

Then LA Candy hit the NY Times best seller list and my thoughts went a little like this... WTF seriously... a best seller? Who is reading this? EVERYONE?! i MUST go out and buy it TODAY!

Mid-way through the book my thoughts went a little like this... WTF this book is actually crazy good. I can't put it down! I love LC!

Now, having finished the book my thoughts go a little like this... WTF !!! a cliffhanger?? seriously who WHO ends their book in a cliffhanger. Stupid annoying book. Learn how to write LC.

After finding out the LC's second book comes out in February my thoughts are a little like this... WTF i have to wait till FEBRUARY!!! really a cliffhanger till FEBRUARY! I need the book now! @LaurenConrad do we really have to wait till February for your second book??

In conclusion my advice to you is to read LA CANDY because it is fantastic... But don't buy it until days before the second book comes out.
